National Bankcard provides credit and debit card processing solutions, allowing merchants an opportunity to accept payments from major credit card companies such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. They have worked with large-sized companies like Domino’s, Quizno’s, Shell, and Days Inn, but do take smaller merchants as well. Having been established since 2004, the company claims to offer some of the lowest rates in the country, as well as award winning customer service. They also have a charge back and fraud department to provide security to their merchants.

Pricing and Fees
One of the main goals National Bankcard attempts to achieve is to keep their fees affordable and transparent. They charge no setup or cancellation fees in an effort to show commitment to their clients and build a trusting relationship. They sell terminals and credit card processing equipment outright, as well as offering a free terminal placement program. To find out the exact pricing rates, clients must contact National Bankcard either through their website, or by phone.

Terms
A contract with National Bankcard runs for three years. There is a $25 monthly minimum fee. Other fees include a $5 monthly statement fee and a PCI compliance fee. They also offer either a tiered or an Interchange Plus pricing schedule. These fees are considered to be better overall than the national average.

Features
Aside from 24 hour customer service and free shipping, National Bankcard provides a variety of processing services clients can choose from. All of them guarantee next day payment within 12 hours. The different types of services include:

Chip Card Terminal
This terminal is Apple Pay compatible. It accepts contactless payments and digital wallets. It also allows merchants to transition to accept both stripe and chip payments with no additional equipment necessary.

Mobile Processing
The mobile processor allows merchants who travel and conduct business on the road to process payments securely. The set up is fast and easy. You only have to plug the processor into your mobile phone and you’re ready to take payments from anywhere in the country.

POS Processing
This processor can transform an ordinary tablet into a payment solution. It saves space, making it beneficial to merchants who have a shortage of room. It allows for add-ons like cash drawers, scanners and printers as needed.

Online Processing
The online processor makes it simple to accept payments online 24/7. Using this virtual terminal, merchants can securely authorize payments on any computer connected to the internet.

Additional Products and Services
National Bankcard doesn’t stop with processing equipment. It offers a variety of products and services to its merchants. They give their clients the opportunity to join the Loyalty and Text Club, a program designed so merchants can create repeat customers by giving them unique rewards. Merchants can customize the rewards to meet the needs of their clients. Merchants can also obtain cash advances through National Bankcard using future credit card receivables. For the more traditional customer, National Bankcard does offer electronic check acceptance services as well.

Drawbacks
You will not find the rates posted anywhere on their website. In order to get the exact rates, you must either call National Bankcard, or go to their website and give them your phone number or email address. They will then send the information to you directly. You don’t however, have to speak with anyone if you list your phone number as the preferred contact method. They will text the prices to you.

While the site does explain step by step how credit card processing works, they could be more detailed in their product descriptions. A new merchant not familiar with card processing could probably use more information on the features of each processor before deciding which one is best for them.
